Abstract:

The chemical constituents of the radix of Ilex asprella, separated by column chromatography, were analyzed by MS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT, 1H-1H COSY, HSQC and HMBC. A triterpenoid, Urs-12-ene-3β, 28-diol, 3-acetate, was isolated from the chloroform extract of the radix of Ilex asprella. The 1H  and 13C NMR chemical shifts of the compound were assigned.
