On Two Point Homogeneous Finsler Spaces

Abstract:

In this note, we prove that a two point homogeneous Finsler space is a Riemannian space. As a byproduct, we generalize a classical result of Mazur in functional analysis, asserting that a finite-dimensional transitive reversible normed linear space is a Euclidean space to the case of a non-reversible Minkowski space.
