AN IMAGING RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM FOR SPIRAL MRI

Abstract:

A PC based image reconstruction program was developed for SPIRAL magnetic resonance imaging. The functionalities of the program included 1) converting the raw data acquired with the spiral trajectory into uniform Cartesian grid; 2) fast two-dimensional Fourier transformation (2D-FFT) for all kinds of MRI, such as multiple-slice multiple echoes; 3) automatic correction of off-resonance effects caused by chemical shift and field inhomogeneity; 4) imaging analysis; 5) export processed images in the formats of TIF, GIF, JPG and BM.
