Stability Analysis of the Stiffly Accurate Runge Kutta Methods for System of Pantograph Equations

Abstract:

The paper deals with asymptotical stability of the Runge-Kutta methods with variable stepsize f or the system of pantograph equations. A kind of general variable stepsize scheme is given out. It is shown that the Runge-Kutta methods are asymptotically stable if and only  if the modulus of the stability function at infinity is less than 1.
