The results of accurate order of uniform approximation and simultaneous ap-proximation in the early work “Jackson Type Theorems on Complex Curves” are improved from Fej´er points to disturbed Fej´er points in this article. Furthermore, the stability of convergence of T*n,ε(f, z) with disturbed sample values f(z*k) +εk are also proved in this article.

MULTIVARIATE WEIGHTED BERNSTEIN-TYPE INEQUALITY AND ITS APPLICATIONS

Bernstein inequality played an important role in approximation theory and Fourier analysis. This article first introduces a general system of functions and the so-called multivariate weighted Bernstein, Nikol’skiÏ, and Ul’yanov-type inequalities. Then, the relations among these three inequalities are discussed. Namely, it is proved that a family of functions equipped with Bernstein-type inequality satisfies Nikol’skiÏ-type and Ul’yanov-type inequality. Finally, as applications, some classical inequalities are deduced from the obtained results.

    Abstract ( 482 )   RICH HTML PDF (176KB) ( 1075 )   Save

In design theory, the alias structure of regular fractional factorial designs is elegantly described with group theory. However, this approach cannot be applied to nonregular designs directly. For an arbitrary nonregular design, a natural question is how to describe the confounding relations between its effects, is there any inner structure similar to regular designs? The aim of this article is to answer this basic question. Using coefficients of indicator function, confounding structure of nonregular fractional factorial designs is obtained as linear constrains on the values of effects. A method to estimate the sparse significant effects in an arbitrary nonregular design is given through an example.

In this article, we introduce a hybrid iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of solutions for a generalized equilibrium problems, the set of common fixed point for a family of infinite k-strict pseudo-contractive mappings, and the set of solutions of the variational inclusion problem with multi-valued maximal monotone map-pings and inverse-strongly monotone mappings in Hilbert space. Under suitable conditions, some strong convergence theorems are proved. Our results extends the recent results in G.L.Acedo and H.K.Xu [2], Zhang, Lee and Chan [8], Takahashi and Toyoda [9], Takahashi and Takahashi [10] and S. S. Chang, H. W. Joseph Lee and C. K. (ii) If T or T* ∈ HC has topological uniform descent at all λ∈ iso(σ(T)), then generalized Weyl’s theorem holds for f(T) for every f ∈ Hol(σ(T)). (iii) If T ∈ HC has topological uniform descent at all

Secondly, we utilize the Witt basis to define the operators ∂and ∂^ on Kaehler manifolds which act on Wn-valued functions. In addition, the relation between above operators and Hodge-Laplace operator is argued. Then, the Borel-Pompeiu formulas for Wn-valued functions are derived through designing a matrix Dirac operator D and a 2× 2 matrix–valued invariant integral kernel with the Witt basis.

The aim of this article is to study some invariants of associative algebras under stable equivalences of Morita type. First of all, we show that, if two finite-dimensional self-injective k-algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type, then their orbit algebras are isomorphic. Secondly, it is verified that the quasitilted property of an algebra is invariant under stable equivalences of Morita type. As an application of this result, it is obtained that if an algebra is of finite representation type, then its tilted property is invariant under stable equivalences of Morita type; the other application to partial tilting modules is given in Section 4. Finally, we prove that when two finite-dimensional k-algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type, their repetitive algebras are also stably equivalent of Morita type under certain conditions.

We define an m-involution to be a matrix K ∈ Cn×n for which Km = I. In this article, we investigate the class Sm (A) of m-involutions that commute with a diagonalizable matrix A ∈ Cn×n. A number of basic properties of Sm (A) and its related subclass Sm (A, X) are given, where X is an eigenvector matrix of A. Among them, Sm (A) is shown to have a torsion group structure under matrix multiplication if A has distinct eigenvalues and has non-denumerable cardinality otherwise. The constructive definition of Sm (A, X) allows one to generate all m-involutions commuting with a matrix with distinct eigenvalues. Some related results are also given for the class ˜ Sm (A) of m-involutions that anti-commute with a matrix A ∈ Cn×n.

Using the methods of boundary func-tion and fractional steps, we construct the formula of asymptotic expansion and point out that the boundary layer at t = 0 has a great influence upon the interior layer at t = σ. At the same time, on the basis of differential inequality techniques, the existence of the smooth solution and the uniform validity of the asymptotic expansion are proved. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our result. The result of this article is new and it complements the previously known ones.

Second, the sharp estimate of the third homogeneous expansion for f is established as well, where f(z) =(f1(z), f2(z), · · · , fn(z))′ is a starlike mapping of order or a normalized biholomorphic starlike mapping defined on the unit polydisk in Cn, and D2fk(0)(z2)/2! = zk(∑nl=1aklzl), k =1, 2, · · · , n, here, akl = 1/2!∂2fk(0)/∂zkzl,k, l = 1, 2, · · · , n. Our result states that the Bieberbach conjecture in several complex variables (the case of the third homogeneous expansion for starlike mappings of order and biholomorphic starlike mappings) is partly proved.

In this article, we introduce the concept of entropy functional for continuous systems on compact metric spaces, and prove some of its properties. We also extract the Kolmogorov entropy from the entropy functional.

For a Banach algebra A, we denote by A* and A the first and the second duals of A respectively. Let T be a mapping from A* to itself. In this article, we will investigate some stability results concerning the equations

    T(αfβg) = αT(f) + βT(g), T(af) = aT(f)

    and

    T(αfβg) + T(αf − βg) = 2α2T(f) + 2β2T(g)
    where f, g ∈ A*, a ∈ A, and α, β∈ Q \ {0}.

A class of singularly perturbed semi-linear boundary value problems with discontinuous functions is examined in this article. Using the boundary layer function method, the asymptotic solution of such a problem is given and shown to be uniformly effective. The existence and uniqueness of the solution for the system is also proved. Numerical result is presented as an illustration to the theoretical result.

In this article, we mainly investigate the growth and existence of meromor-phic solutions of a type of systems of composite functional equations, and obtain some interesting results. It extends some results concerning functional equations to the systems of functional equations.

Let π be a unitary representation of a locally compact topological group G on a separable Hilbert space H. A vector ΨH is called a continuous frame wavelet if there exist A, B > 0 such that
    A||Φ||2 ≤∫G|<π(g)Ψ ,Φ|2dgB||Φ|| (ΦH),

in which dg is the left Haar measure of G. Similar to the study of wavelets, an essential problem in the study of continuous frame wavelets is how to characterize them under the given unitary representation. Moreover, we investigate a relation between admissible vectors of π and its components.

We establish some results on coincidence and common fixed points for a two-pair of multi-valued and single-valued maps in complete metric spaces. Presented theorems generalize recent results of Gordji et al [4] and several results existing in the literature.
