Abstract:

This paper deals with the existence of positive solutions to the singular bound-ary value problem
y′′(t) + q(t)f(t, y) = 0, 0 < t < 1,
y(0) = y(1) = 0,
where q(t) may be singular at t = 0 and t = 1, f(t, y) may be superlinear at y = 1 and singular at y = 0.

Key words: Singular boundary value problem, existence, superlinear, the fixed point theorem
