Abstract:

The rubidium spectral lamp is one of the important parts of a gas cell rubidium atomic frequency standard (RAFS). It has great influences on the performance of the RAFS. To achieve high stability and meet the needs of working in high environmental temperature and vacuum conditions, a new type of the spectral lamp has been designed and developed. The stability of the RF oscillator circuit, the electric screening of the RF coil and thermal property of the bulb and its housing were taken into account in the design.
