Abstract:

To meet the practical demands for nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR)-based explosive detection system, a probe was designed for suppressing the ring tails. The probe included a high Q- value tune circuit, an impedance matching circuit and a circuit for ring tails suppression. Simulation results showed that the proposed probe design can suppress ring tails effectively, shorten recovery time, and improve the reliability of the detection system.
