Abstract:

Polarization spectroscopy of saturated absorption was used to lock laser frequency and set up an experimental system of laser-pumped rubidium atomic frequency standard. A preliminary frequency stability measurement was carried out, the results of which showed that a short-term frequency stability of 1.2×10-11τ-1/2 was achieved. By analyzing the results, we proposed some approaches to improve the performance of the frequency standard.
