STUDIES OF THE ALANINE/ESR DOSIMETRIC METHOD USED IN THE TECHNIQUE OF FOOD IRRADIATION-SELECTION OF THE CONDITIONS FOR ESR MEASUREMENT

摘要: 鉴于丙氨酸辐照后形成的自由基很稳定,其总数在食品辐照常用的剂量范围(102~104Gy)内正比于辐照剂量,我们选定丙氨酸-ESR系统作为我国γ射线大剂量传递剂量计,并对它进行了研究,确定了正常的ESR测量条件。特别修正了波谱仪的增益系数之间的线性关系并计测了旋转样品管对信号幅度的影响。检测吸收剂量的下限为5Gy。在0.05~1k7Gy的范围内,对于以十种不同剂量辐照的丙氨酸样品,ESR波谱主峰幅度h与相应的剂量D之间的线性相关系数大于0.999。

Abstract: In view of the fact that the free radicals formed after irradiation of alanine were cousiderably stable and their total number, in the dose range commonly used for food irradiation (102~104Gy), was proportional to the irradiation dose, the alanine/ESR system was selected as the transfer dosimeter for measuring high-level doses of γ-rays in China, related studies were made and normal conditions for ESR measurement was established.Especially, the linear relations between gain settings of the spectrometer were amended and the effect of rotation of the specimen tube on the signal amplitude was quantified.The lower limit for detecting the absorbed dose was found to be 5 Gy. In the range of 0.05~17kGy, for alanine specimens irradiated with ten different doses, the linear correlation coefficient between the main peak amplitude h of the ESR spectrum and the corresponding dose D was greater than 0.999.
